In 2010, Sυpatra Sasυphaп (Baпgkok, Thailaпd) started to rise to fame when she was recognized by Gυiппess World Records as the “hairiest girl in the world”.

Sυpatra suffers from Ambras syndrome, a copygetic disease caused by a genetic mutation, which causes excessive hair growth on the face, ears, back and limbs.  The disease is so rare that around 50 cases have been recorded worldwide since the Middle Ages.

Sυpatra Sasυphaп (also kпowп as Nat) was born on August 5, 1999 with happiness mixed with fear of his relatives: Mr. Sammrυeпg Sasυphaп and Mrs. Sompoп Sasυphaп.

“When I gave birth, the doctor said I had a lot of hair. I thought it was formal until I saw it on the iпcυbator. I was shocked because I didn't expect her to be so hairy,” Ms. Sompo cried when she said that.

“My wife wanted to leave the hospital, but the doctor stopped her because she was afraid of abandoning our daughter.  I told the doctor that my husband and I would never leave our son, no matter what happened.  We saw that we were lucky that you came to the family,” recalls Mr. Sammrυeпg, Sasυphaп's father.

“When the neighbors saw Nat for the first time, they asked me what crime I had committed.  I was very worried that she would grow up and be teased by other children," shared Mr. Sammrυeпg.   He added that when he was young, Supatra was mischievous like other children his age, except that his teeth grew slowly and did not he could clearly see why his fur covered his face.

This father hopes that one day his daughter will be healed.   “We will do everything we can to help her.”

Unfortunately, Sυpatra's “werewolf syndrome” actually exists.   Even though the most viable method is laser treatment, it fails to stop hair growth.

Because he had a pleasant appearance, Sυpatra Sasυpha faced many difficulties in fitting in with the people around him.   Most people laughed at her and despised her.   My friends at school made fun of me and called me "werewolf" or "monkey face".

Supatra said she accepts living with thick hair because it has existed since the day she was born.   About her She feels lucky because her family raised her as a normal child, not allowing her to be inferior to her.   “My parents took me everywhere.  They never felt embarrassed because I didn't look like other kids.

“If I had a choice from birth, I would like to look like this.  However, I try not to look at my flaws but to turn them into strengths.  Because I am a special person,” she said.

9X also shares his dream of becoming a doctor so he can heal others.   Supatra's active lifestyle has become a source of inspiration and motivation for many people.   She is always proud of the title of “hairiest girl in the world” awarded to her by Gυiппess.
